We are thrilled to announce that Alex, a valuable member of the UCBCU initiative, has successfully completed his summer internship at the Cress Lab. Although we miss having him around the lab, we are excited to see where his journey takes him next!

Juana, the first Cress lab undergraduate is starting her new role as an intern at Gordian bio. She captured some of the first wild plasmids from microbes for the Cress lab!

Brady and Ben Adler from Doudna lab presented at Viruses of microbes 2024, and Ben was awarded one of two postdoc awards for their talk!

We’re excited to welcome two new undergraduate students, Lucas and Julianne, who joined our team this month! They will be helping Agnes with her work on bacteriocins.

Pia completed her rotations and officially joined our lab as a joint member of the Cress and Ronda labs! She will be focusing on research in pairwise functional genomics. We are absolutely thrilled to welcome them aboard!
